About Department
Computer science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems. Computer Engineers invent algorithmic processes that create, describe, and transform information and formulate suitable abstractions to model complex systems.Computer science has many sub-fields; some, such as computational complexity theory, study the properties of computational problems, while others, such as computer graphics, emphasize the computation of specific results.
Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations. For example, programming language theory studies approach to describe computations, while computer programming applies specific programming languages to solve specific computational problems, and human-computer interaction focuses on the challenges in making computers and computations useful, usable, and universally accessible to humans.

Dr Snehlata Dongre is a Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department at G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur. She is also in-charge for Center of Excellence in Data Science. Her research area includes Data Science, Data Mining, Decision support system and Neural Networks. She has more than 10.5 years of teaching experience. She has more than 45 publications in Indexed journals and conferences. She has published one book on Data Stream Mining and filed two patents. She is also the member of professional bodies like ISTE, IACSIT. She is the reviewer for reputed journals and conferences including inderscience, evolving systems, etc. She has Guided Projects more than 50 at UG level & more than 30 at PG Level. She has more than 595 as the Google citations.
