Medical Device Hackathon (MEDHA) 2022MEDHA (Medical Device Hackathon) is organized to spread the knowledge among those interested in contributing to medical device innovation. This year MEDHA 2022 will be hosted at multiple institutes and location. BETiC center of G H Raisoni College of Engineering,Nagpur will be one of the partner institute planning to host the MEDHA 2022, mentored by IIT Bombay & VNIT,Nagpur. Interested candidates can apply to institutes nearby them.

What is MEDHA?

  • MEDHA is a hackathon bringing together inter-disciplinary teams to explore medical device innovation.

  • BETIC – Biomedical Engineering and Technology Innovation Centre, IIT Bombay in collaboration with host /partner institutes.

  • 14 & 21 May 2022 : Stage-1 Event at BETiC-GHRCE Nagpur/ Online + Offline mode 28 May 2022 : Stage-2 Event at IIT Bombay, Mumbai / Online mode

  • Sat, 14 May : Team formation, need validation and problem definition Sat, 21 May : Evaluation of need, solution and proof-of-concept Sat, 28 May : Pitch the project to eminent jury panel in online mode/ at IIT Bombay

  • Working professionals/ Final year UG/ PG students with any of these backgrounds:Medical: Biomedical/ Medicine / Physiotherapy/ Pharma Design: Industrial Design/ Product Design/ Visual Communication/ Management Engineering-I: Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Materials/ Chemical Engineering-II: Electronics/ Communication/ Instrumentation/ Software Each team must have at least one each of above backgrounds. At least one of them must have professional industry or entrepreneurship experience.

  • Yes, interested candidates need to pre-register. They will be requested to send their biodata and portfolio of innovative project work, based on which they will be short-listed, interviewed, selected and invited to participate.

  • Top teams at Stage-1 will win prizes and invitation to Stage-2. Final winners will have an opportunity for fellowships and support for working on their ideas.
